Passed away peacefully on Friday, 16th October 2026.
Much loved father and father-in-law of Aaron and Debbie, Bevan and Vicki, Walter and the late Stacy, Lan, and the late Brendon Charteris.
A very special grandfather to his much-loved grandchildren Taylar, Piper, Josh, Erin, Phoenix, Elisha, Finly, Bethany, Charlie, and Eddie
Herb was a special Dad, a good mate, and the kind of bloke you could always call on for a chat, a bit of advice, or simply a listening ear. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Friends wishing to pay their respects and say their farewells are warmly welcome to do so at Hagedorns by prior arrangement.
A farewell to celebrate Herb's life will be held at Hagedorns Buller Funeral Services, 123 Derby Street, Westport, on Friday, 30th October 2026, at 11.00am, followed by a private cremation.
