BEIRNE, Roger William — Passed suddenly on Friday, 14th August 2026, in his 73rd year.

Loved and loving husband of the late Lesley. Only son of the late Cecil and Rita Beirne. Loved father and father-in-law of Craig and Sonia Beirne, and loved stepfather of Kaaren Phipps, Paul and Mark Petersen and their partners. Loving grandfather to all his grandchildren.

Treasured brother and brother-in-law of Jocelyn, Barbara, Jillian and the late Ngaire, and their husbands. Loved uncle, brother-in-law, and friend to many.

A celebration of Roger’s life will be held at St John’s Anglican Church at 2.00pm on Saturday, 22nd August, followed by interment at the Orowaiti Cemetery. Following the interment, everyone is warmly invited to return to the church for light refreshments.

Club Buller Evening Tribute, Sat 22nd, family and friends are warmly invited to gather at the Club Buller to share a drink, a story or two, and raise a glass to Roger and a life well lived.

Friends and family wishing to visit Roger and pay their respects are warmly invited to do so at a time that suits by arrangement with Hagedorns.
